Ready to kick off that Holiday Spirit? We are on Saturday, November, 19th 2016 during our spectacular Tree Lighting ceremony in North Raleigh’s Lafayette Village. There’s is sure to be something for everyone during this event that runs from 4 pm to 8 pm. Good old St. Nick will light our Tree in the Courtyard at the stroke of 7:00 pm!
Oakwood Waits Carolers, beautiful music by Improvibes Jazz Duo, a visit from Santa, dance scene from the Nutcracker, special performances from local schools, and dozens of specials from village merchants will be sure to get you into the Holiday spirit.
Listen to the sweet sounds of Primrose North Raleigh Pre-K as they lead us in some carols at 4 pm, enjoy City Ballet of Raleigh as they perform a narrated excerpt from the Nutcracker at 5 pm, and don’t miss Wake Forest Charter Academy’s Choir and Band as the preform some holiday music at 6 pm, all taking place in the courtyard near the tree.
Make your way by Carolina Barre & Core to get a photo with Santa from 4:45 pm to 6:45 pm. Digital photos will be $15 each and will be emailed to you within 14 business days.
Take a stroll through the village grounds, enjoy music from the The Oakwood Waits Carolers and Casablanca Orchestra, or take a ride around the village by horse and carriage, drop off and pick up located just outside The Chocolate Boutique!
Wonderful Window Display Contest
Travel through out The Village to find and vote for your favorite Window Display. To cast your vote simply visit that store donate a $1 and fill out the voting card, you may vote as many times as you like for as many windows as you like. The store’s window with the most votes at the end of competition, wins the It’s a Wonderful Window Trophy for them to display throughout the next year. More importantly, all the charities will be winners as each charitable organization will keep 100% of all the money placed in their ballot box. Don’t forget to come back each week to vote, as each week one lucky voter will be drawn to win a $50 gift card to their favorite village shop!
Care Packages for Soldiers
Bayleaf Baptist church will be collecting items to make care package for our armed forces this Holiday season. Collections will begin November 19th at the Bayleaf Baptist Church booth and continue until our Holiday Open house on Dec 3rd. Items can also be dropped off at either Stuf n Such location at Lafayette Village.

- Disposable Razors
- Deodorant (male & Female/ stick deodorants & no sprays)
- Hard Candy
- Lip Balm
- Hand Sanitizer
- Snack Packs of Crackers
- Peanut Butter in Individual Servings
- Decks of Cards
- Nabs/Trail Mix/Peanuts (mixed nuts, sunflower seeds)
Pictures with Santa- 4:45 pm to 6:45 pm by Blessed Reflections Photography. $15 for a single digital image. Images will be sent via email in 14 business days.
Horse & Carriage Rides- Enjoy a complimentary ride around the beautiful village on a horse and carriage.
A number of merchants will also be collecting donations of new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots.
Visits to Lafayette Village merchants are a must, especially with offers that make food and beverages hard to resist and provide a wide variety of gift ideas for your Holiday shopping.
