We specifically designed Jubala Village Coffee to be a place where the community can relax, connect, and engage. We understand the need for compassion. Portions of our profits will be used in the areas where our coffee comes from.

We are David and Sarah, and our journey together began in 2009 in Boston. In 2012, we tied the knot and embarked on a new adventure, moving to North Carolina, where our daughter, Penelope, was born a few years later.
David gained his passion for food and service after spending several years supporting and managing a pizza shop in New Hampshire. He is now passionate about the quest for the perfect pizza in Raleigh, NC.
Sarah’s culinary experience began early on as she worked alongside her mother in a Market Basket deli for several years starting in her college years. There, she learned the importance of cutting meat and serving customers with care, understanding exactly what they expected.
As Italians, family and food are at the heart of everything we do. Sarah’s family carries a rich tradition where food is seen as a love language, a way to show care and service to anyone lucky enough to be invited to the table. Our slogan, “Hope you’re hungry,” is inspired by Sarah’s mother, Missy. Known for her hearty feasts, she would welcome guests with a playful smile and the spirited phrase, always ensuring that no one left her table hungry.
Since moving to North Carolina, we’ve been inspired by the local hospitality, diversity, and vibrant food scene. We’ve explored countless eateries around Raleigh and beyond, savoring as many delicious spots as we can find. While David continues his pursuit of the ultimate pizza, we are delighted to share and celebrate the traditions and flavors that have enriched our lives long before our paths crossed.

For centuries, the term crêpe has made people’s minds swirl with images of the romantic sidewalk cafés of Paris. A warm breeze, elegant decor and a ready waiter are usually a part of the scene. Yet, a crêpe does not have to be thought of as a lavish treat. It’s simply a wonderful meal.
With a French Canadian background, the wondrous scent of crêpes cooking is one of the simple joys of life for the Héroux family. The mouth-watering recipe used at home and now at the restaurant has been passed down through generations. What makes it special is its versatility. Creating crêpes that can be either sweet or savory. Traditionally, the Héroux family served pure maple syrup produced from the family’s own sugar bush in Quebec, Canada. Today, the pure maple syrup that is used is supplied by New York State producers.
Pierre Héroux’s career path led him and his family to Tokyo, Japan for part of their lives. And while they traveled much of the world, including France, most of their time was spent in the hustle and bustle of the narrow, crowded streets of Tokyo. As the family became more familiar with the varied districts of Tokyo, one common aspect was clear. Small crêpe stands thrived, serving fresh fruit and ice cream filled crêpes.
The Héroux family has taken this wonderful concept of a crêpe from the tranquil sugar bushes of Canada, the romantic cafés of France, the crowded streets of Japan, and is proud to bring this unique, fresh, healthy dish to
the Raleigh.

Pat West, owner of Vinos Finos has spent almost half his life in North Carolina, starting with undergraduate school. After spending many years as a CEO for a major healthcare company in North Carolina, he decided to indulge his passion for great wine, great company and opened the wine café in January 2011. Ginia Bedini West serves as the chef for Vinos Finos and is the co-owner. Ginia was selected as one of the top chefs in the Triangle by Midtown magazine (September/October 2011).
Ginia was born in the USA, but spent the first 14 years of her life in Lima, Peru. She went to a bilingual school where she learned to speak English and Spanish fluently. At the age of 14, her father relocated back to the USA but she has continued to visit her sister and extensive extended family in Argentina. Today, she owns her own business as a Spanish interpreter.
At Vinos Finos, Ginia serves as a South American food consultant ensuring that the food items are prepared to her specifications and that the food is attractively placed for display. Ginia travels extensively to various wineries in South America meeting with winemakers, salami/cheese vendors and a variety of other vendors, bringing our customers the best that South America has to offer.
